Through one to one support, community education and group sessions, I aspire to share the knowledge, skill and love of babywearing with all parents and caregivers.

Just as you carry each of your babies, so I seek to carry you. My aim is for you to feel safe and supported, carried and held, through each step of your babywearing journey.

  • Zoe Pearson - Carried & Held Founder

    - Bachelor of Physiotherapy (La Trobe University 2010)

    - Babywearing Consultant (Australian Babywearing Association Training 2022)

Zoe graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University in 2010. In her early career, she worked with children and their families in the areas of early intervention and neurodevelopmental disability. More recently, Zoe moved into the area of developmental physiotherapy in community private practice.

Zoe was introduced to babywearing after the birth of her first child in 2018. She fell in love with the connection, closeness and practicality of carrying her daughter from infancy through to her toddler years. In planning for life with a second newborn while juggling the demands of a busy toddler at home, Zoe knew that she wanted to utilise the practicality of babywearing from day one. While researching her options for carriers and slings to use during her pregnancy and for her newborn, Zoe found there was a whole world of babywearing she was yet to discover.

Shortly after the birth of her second baby in January 2020, Melbourne was sent into its first of many lockdowns in response to the global pandemic. Babywearing became not only a wonderful, practical tool, but a lifeline during long periods of isolation caring for a baby and a toddler. It was at this time that Zoe completed her first introductory babywearing training. Following this, she completed her second, comprehensive babywearing consultation course over 2021 & 2022 with the Australian Babywearing Association.

Babywearing started as a personal interest for Zoe. As this interest progressed, she built her individual skills in carrying her own children. After personally gaining so much from babywearing and researching the many well-documented benefits of carrying young children, babywearing has become both a passion and purpose for her. Supporting and educating families to make carrying accessible, safe and optimal was Zoe's driving force behind founding Carried & Held.

As an experienced physiotherapist working with children and families, Zoe brings a wealth of professional knowledge and skills to her babywearing consulting practice. Zoe seeks to tailor her services to suit each child's and family's unique needs to find the best solutions for her clients. As a qualified healthcare professional committed to ongoing professional development, Zoe seeks to bring each of her clients the best in quality, evidence-based care.
